August 5, 2021: Updated Mask Policy
Per CDC and State recommendations, Connex strongly encourages all individuals to wear a face mask or face covering while inside the branch for everyone's safety.

January 4, 2021: Stimulus Payment Update
With the recent announcement of COVID-related stimulus checks being disbursed, we want to provide helpful information for questions you may have about the payments.
Q: Am I eligible to receive a payment?
A: Connex cannot determine whether members are eligible. The government determines your eligibility. You can visit the IRS website here for detailed information on who qualifies.
Q: When will I receive my payment?
A: We do not have information on when electronic payments will post or when your paper check will be sent. You can visit the IRS's website here for the latest updates on payment timing.
Q: How will I receive my payment?
A: You will receive your payment in one of three ways: the bank account you provided on your most recent tax return, paper check, or by prepaid debit card in limited situations.
Q: How can I deposit a paper check?
A: You can make a deposit using the Connex mobile app or make a deposit at an ATM.
Q: Did Connex share my account number information with the IRS?
A: No, Connex has not provided your account information to the IRS. The IRS will use the bank account reported on your 2019 or 2018 tax return, if you qualify for a payment.
Connex branch and call center staff will not have additional information on where your payment is in process. Please utilize the IRS's website for the most current information.

September 14, 2020: Branch Appointments Update
Great news! While appointments are still preferred for your convenience and ease of conducting business, they are no longer required in order to meet with desk staff. We are adhering to CDC social distancing guidelines, and a mask or face covering is required for all branch visits. Shared branching members must use drive-up windows and external Interactive Teller Machines (ITMs).
If you would like to make an appointment, please call 1-800-CR-UNION or go through the website. You'll need to log into your account and click on the Additional Services tab to schedule.

The safety of our members and staff remains our first priority, so the lobby will still be accessible to just a few members at a time, adhering to CDC social distancing guidelines. June 1, 2020: Branch Lobbies Re-Opening
Since the beginning of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Connex has been on the forefront of protecting our members and staff while providing continuous service. As we move forward together in these unprecedented times, the safety of our staff, your safety and your financial well-being remain our top priority.
We are planning a gradual re-opening of our branch lobbies on June 3, 2020. You can expect that our staff will be wearing masks and gloves, our lobbies and ATM/ITMs will continue to be thoroughly sanitized, our teller and desk stations will have plastic shields, and we will adhere to the CDC guidelines for social distancing. A mask or face covering is required for all in-branch visits. As we slowly reopen our doors, there are a few other items we want to make you aware of:
Lobby Service: Our lobbies will be open with the following business hours; Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 8AM to 3PM, Thursday from 8AM to 6PM, Friday from 8AM to 5PM and Saturday from 9AM to 12PM. Lobby access will be highly regulated, allowing for just a few members at a time to care for mandated social distancing guidelines. To conduct an in-person teller transaction, you will be greeted at the door and directed to the next available employee. Restroom facilities and coffee will not be available.
Meetings with desk representatives for loan closings, in-person applications (utilize our online loan application portal for fastest service), or other needs and requests are by appointment only. Appointments can be scheduled by calling 1-800 CR-UNION (203-603-5700) or visiting our website at connexcu.org, just log into your account, and click on the Additional Services tab to schedule an appointment.
Older adults and people who have underlying medical conditions should consider using non-lobby banking services including our drive-up windows, Online and Mobile Banking, and our ATMs/ITMs.
We’d like to emphasize the numerous banking options available to you, to help you avoid having to visit our lobbies:
Drive-Up Window: Our North Haven, Guilford, and Orange branches provide drive-up service Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8AM to 5PM, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8AM to 6PM, and Saturdays 8:30AM to 1PM.
Free Online Banking and Mobile App: With our free Online Banking and Mobile App (available on Android and IOS), you can take advantage of all the ways you can bank safely and securely from home. Our Online Banking and the Mobile Banking app keep you connected to your accounts 24/7 so you can view balances, set alerts, schedule and pay bills, make loan payments, deposit checks, transfer money and more.
ATM/ITM: Our ATMs and ITMs are available to do a variety of transactions. With our ATMs you can get cash, transfer funds, and make a deposit. With our ITMs, you can see and speak with a live teller to conduct your transactions such as make a loan payment, cash a check, or ask them a question. As a member, you also have access to over 55,000 Allpoint ATMs worldwide; many can be found in Walgreens, CVS, Target, and more. You must wear a mask or face covering if you’re in an ATM/ITM vestibule. Also, pens with stylus tip may be used on the touch screen. Our ITM’s are available for transactions with a live teller from 7AM to 7PM Monday through Friday and 8AM to 1PM on Saturday.
Call24 Telephone Banking: Conduct most transactions by telephone - 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week - toll-free nationwide at 1.800.CR.UNION (800-278-6466). Obtain balance information, transfer funds between accounts, listen to see if your checks have cleared, make loan payments, take loan advances, and much more.
Call Center: Our Call Center is available to answer members’ questions, schedule appointments, and assist with their needs when other channels cannot accommodate. While our lobbies are closed, we realize that the use of our drive-ups are busier than normal. Although we have always been open until 6pm on Thursdays and 5pm on Fridays, we have extended our drive-up window hours to help reduce the time members spend in line.
On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays our drive-up windows are open until 5pm; Tuesdays and Thursdays until 6pm.
Recently, we’ve noticed that wait times can generally be reduced if you visit during the following times.
- Wednesdays & Fridays from 8 am to 9 am
- Mondays and Wednesdays from 3 pm to 5 pm
- Tuesdays from 3 pm to 6 pm
We encourage you to come during those times to avoid a potential wait.
In addition, don’t forget our ITM live teller machines are open from 7 am to 7 pm Monday through Friday and 8 am – 1pm on Saturday. At our ITM live teller machines you can conduct many of the transactions you would typically conduct at our drive-up windows. For your safety, we sanitize these machines several times during the day. Our Call Center hours have also increased; now open from Monday through Friday 7 am – 7 pm and Saturday 7:30 am – 3 pm.

We continue to monitor the guidelines provided by the CDC (Center for Disease Control) and the State of Connecticut. Connex Credit Union takes the health and well-being of our members and staff seriously. As we keep abreast of updates surrounding the coronavirus (COVID-19), our thoughts are with those who have been affected by this quickly evolving situation. Just to let you now, we have increased the frequency of cleaning at our branches, check writing surfaces, and ATM and ITM machines.
