* With Early Payday, the credit union may make incoming electronic direct deposits made through the Automated Clearing House (ACH) available for use up to one day before the scheduled payment date. Not all direct deposits are eligible for Early Payday. Early availability of direct deposits is not guaranteed and may vary from deposit to deposit. Whether we make funds available early depends on when we receive the payor’s payment instructions, any limitations we set on the amount of early availability, and standard fraud prevention screening. Available for personal accounts only. For dividend-bearing accounts, dividends on your incoming direct deposit will begin accruing on the business day we receive credit for the deposit from your payor’s bank. Even after we have made funds available to you and you have withdrawn the funds, you remain responsible and liable if any deposit to your account is returned, rejected, or otherwise uncollected by us. Early Payday is offered at the discretion of the credit union, and we reserve the right to cancel the service at any time and without notice to you.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does Early Payday work?

Connex may make eligible direct deposit funds available in your account as soon as we receive the deposit information from the payer - up to one business before the scheduled payment date.

Do I have to Enroll in Early Payday?

No! Early Payday comes standard on all eligible Connex Consumer Checking Accounts. If you're already signed up for Direct Deposit, then you're all set.

Are all deposits eligible for Early Payday?

Eligible direct deposits are limited to electronic direct deposits of items such as your paycheck, pension, and government benefit payments made through the Automated Clearing House (ACH) to your personal checking account. Other deposits or credits to your account, such as deposits of funds from person-to-person payment services (e.g., Zelle, Venmo, or PayPal transfers), check or mobile deposits, and other online transfers or electronic credits are not eligible for Early Payday.

Will my direct deposit always arrive one day early?

There's no guarantee that you will always receive your paycheck up to one day early since it depends on when we receive the payor's payment instructions. Therefore is important for you to monitor your accounts to ensure your direct deposit had been deposited in your account before you spend the funds.

Why didn't I receive my pay early?

Here are some reasons you may not receive your pay early:

  • Your deposit isn’t sent earlier by your employer or payer.
  • Your deposit type isn't eligible, such as a bank-to-bank transfer.
  • There’s a payroll system issue from your payer.
  • Other limitations we set on the account, including standard fraud prevention.
